Dear participants of RE’18: Welcome to the conference!

We can’t wait to welcome and meet you all in person at the beautiful scenery and location of the Banff Centre.
Some last minute news and guidance:

CONFERENCE PROGRAM:

There are always last-minute changes. You will all receive a conference booklet. For the most up-to-date info, please check http://re18.org/program/conferenceProgram.html

EARLY REGISTRATION:

Starts on Sunday 5pm in KC 204

RECONNET:

You Are invited to connect to REConnect! REConnect is our conference social network, allowing you to communicate about the conference contents, activities and experiences, in one centralized location. You can use it directly to post your thoughts, questions and suggestions, or you can login with your twitter account, and allow your RE twits to be automatically included in REConnect. Connect to REConnect at: http://re.connecttoconference.com/

WEATHER:

There are a large number of wildfires going on in British Columbia, the province west of Alberta. Smoke from these wildfires has spread to Alberta including Banff. As of now, this might limit the type and amount of outdoor activities that can be done, but does not create a risk for the RE’18 conference. The weather forecast predicts some rain for Sunday night, so this hopefully will also help to make the situation better.

TUTORIALS:

One of the tutorials has posted instructions for participants (see http://re18.org/tutorials.html and http://re18.org/program/conferenceProgramMonday.html#T02).

SOCIAL MEDIA:

Please follow and ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTE at https://twitter.com/ieee_re

See you all soon!
